Las Vegas, Nevada hotel tycoon Steve Wynn certainly has a reason to be excited about this Christmas time. With an investment of around $2.3 billion, the spectacular casino-hotel called Encore will inaugurate this coming week.

This posh casino and hotel is joined to the very fashionable Wynn Vegas on the Vegas Strip. Whereas many Sin City hotel investors are trying their hardest to find a direction to keep their hotel-casinos afloat, Wynn is doing pretty well with his billion dollar hotel investments.

The 2000 room hotel-casino is a masterpiece in itself. The main focus of this tower will be the nightclub, dubbed XS. Steve has seen in the recent past that nightclubs are hotspots in LV, and not primarily the casinos as they were in the past. He says that Las Vegas nightclubs usually generate more hard cash and are a huge draw for the young and hip group.

Wynn has also created a luxurious eatery adjacent to the XS nightclub. Inspired by the popular Colombian artist, Fernando Botero this circular steakhouse has a gigantic Botero sculpture as the main focus point. Eventhough it is not as spectacular as the nightclub which it is adjacent to; the Botero steakhouse is thought to go fairly well with the flashy LV nightclub.
The design behind XS and Botero is a sort of St. Tropez atmosphere, where the party chugs along without a break and the majority of the partying occurs near a swimming pool or ocean area. Things are not the same in Las Vegas, Nevada, where most people fancy social gatherings to slot machines nowadays.

With just about one year of resting, the Mirage Hotel-Casino’s famed volcano will be resurrected bigger and more amazing than it has ever been. The famous Las Vegas casino and hotel is doing their best to draw as many tourists as they can to check out their reconstruction.

This upcoming New Year’s Eve, the daredevil Robbie Knievel will attempt a motorbike jump over the Mirage Hotel-Casino’s synthetic volcano. This jump will mark the end of a three-year restoration of the LV hotel. Throughout this period, the Las Vegas hotel-casino has spent about $110 million improving their accommodations and suites.

This New Year’s Eve act is said to be Knievel’s final feat in the United States. The presentation will last for five mins. and include explosives and a modern soundtrack. The music for the soundtrack has been composed by Mickey Hart formerly of the Grateful Dead. Robbie Knievel is the son of the late Evil Knievel-the first and most recognized daredevils.

The LV Mirage was constructed in 1989 by Vegas magnate Steve Wynn and was considered LV’s 1st megaresort. This upgrade is one of a big group on the Las Vegas, Nevada Strip in the past year. The hotel-casino desires that this presentation will pull a massive number of sightseers to the Sin City casino-hotel. The thought behind the upgrade is to beat other iconic Sin City hotel-casinos like the Bellagio casino-hotel.

The LV event many boxing followers have been waiting patiently to see is coming very soon. The Golden Boy will box one of the world’s existing best fighters, Pacquiao. This contest is planned for the 6th of December in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Undoubtedly there has been many conversations held in Las Vegas about this contest. De La Hoya has trimmed his weight down to 147 lbs. to participate as a welterweight, and some folks say that Oscar “Golden Boy” De La Hoya may not be as stout since the weight reduction. Manny has in the past boxed once as a lightweight and wishes to fight in the welterweight group. Pacquiao is also the current lightweight category champ , and is deemed by many boxing pros to be the best boxer at the moment.

This is The Golden Boy’s first trip back to LV for a fight ever since he battled Floyd Mayweather Jr. back in May of 2007. This match is no doubt a sell-out for the MGM Grand Sin City. Sightseers to Sin City have fallen recent times, but Vegas events like this boxing match seem to have a way of bringing folks to Vegas.

This fight will surely be one that most people will find quite entertaining as it matches up the two most skilled fighters of the last few decades in a 12 round welterweight match. The Golden Boy and Manny Pacquiao tickets are still available for purchase. If you were to attend only one Las Vegas, Nevada event in 2008, this is without question the event to see.
