Las Vegas Wedding Chapels under Fire

There has been much to be said about Las Vegas wedding chapels in recent years, with the incredibly aggressive handbilling and extremely rough treatment of competitors as well as patrons in some cases.  With all manner of skeletons in the closet, Las Vegas wedding chapel proprietors have come under fire for a laundry list of indiscretions from aggressive treatment of employees as well as competitors and patrons all the way to attempted murder in one case.  With all of the talk and suspicion, the Garden of Love Wedding Chapel has come under fire specifically as one of the worst offenders, going so far as to have one employee accused of attempted murder when a knife was used to intimidate a competitors employee.  In September, Garden of Love owner Cheryl Luell was arrested for the theft of $20,000 worth of embroidering equipment from the convention center in Las Vegas, apparently the property of another vendor.  With all this bad publicity and shady goings-on, it remains to be seen what type of legal action will be taken against the aggressive handbilling employees as well as the proprietors themselves who have a history of encouraging this type of behavior.

In recent months, some of the more traditional and respectable Las Vegas wedding chapels have suspended their hand billing efforts completely in an attempt to restore the reputation of the chapels themselves.  This effort to salvage the reputations of the venerable Las Vegas wedding chapels that are so popular and draw so much attention from around the world is critical to the success of the proprietors of these types of institutions who are so dependent on incoming revenue and the visitors to the area who come from all around the world to get married at the world-famous Las Vegas wedding chapels.  This tradition of the Las Vegas wedding has brought a constant stream of young couples to be wedded in the world-famous gaming and gambling capital.

Regaining the respect and the reputation for Las Vegas wedding chapels will take some considerable amount of time but a step in the right direction has been taken with the reduction in the amount of handbilling that takes place at these chapels in general.  This is cited as one of the most distasteful activities and one of the reasons that so many individuals have reported a bad experience with the Las Vegas wedding chapels.
