Las Vegas, Nevada hotel tycoon Steve Wynn certainly has a reason to be excited about this Christmas time. With an investment of around $2.3 billion, the spectacular casino-hotel called Encore will inaugurate this coming week.

This posh casino and hotel is joined to the very fashionable Wynn Vegas on the Vegas Strip. Whereas many Sin City hotel investors are trying their hardest to find a direction to keep their hotel-casinos afloat, Wynn is doing pretty well with his billion dollar hotel investments.

The 2000 room hotel-casino is a masterpiece in itself. The main focus of this tower will be the nightclub, dubbed XS. Steve has seen in the recent past that nightclubs are hotspots in LV, and not primarily the casinos as they were in the past. He says that Las Vegas nightclubs usually generate more hard cash and are a huge draw for the young and hip group.

Wynn has also created a luxurious eatery adjacent to the XS nightclub. Inspired by the popular Colombian artist, Fernando Botero this circular steakhouse has a gigantic Botero sculpture as the main focus point. Eventhough it is not as spectacular as the nightclub which it is adjacent to; the Botero steakhouse is thought to go fairly well with the flashy LV nightclub.
The design behind XS and Botero is a sort of St. Tropez atmosphere, where the party chugs along without a break and the majority of the partying occurs near a swimming pool or ocean area. Things are not the same in Las Vegas, Nevada, where most people fancy social gatherings to slot machines nowadays.
