Vegas Gamblers are trying to find the best deals in Vegas

Despite the fact that all the popular casinos are doing all they can to attract more Las Vegas tourists this year with discounts and vouchers, their slot machine business is on the decline. And while Vegas slot machine business creates about two thirds of the state’s income, it’s not such great news for the Sin City casinos.
According to the Gaming Control Board, bettors wagered $1.1 billion less in slot machines compared to last year. Slot machines on The Las Vegas Strip are down half a billion dollars. This represents a drop of 12% compared to last year. With drivers paying more than $4 per gallon for gas, gamblers are really having to count their pennies nowadays. On the other hand with the cost of gas dropping, these figures may change in the near future.
Vegas hotel casinos aren’t really bothered about this plunge in slot machine profits, the latest reports show that table game play is actually increasing. On The Strip the volume for Sin City table games is up 5 percent, with baccarat play up 15 percent and blackjack on the rise at 7 percent. Even though this may seem like a good thing, the truth is that Las Vegas casinos won 21 percent less in July due in some part to some lucky Las Vegas gamblers as well as gamblers winning a larger percentage than normal.
The famous saying, “The house always wins”, could be a thing of the past. But as these reports tell us, Sin City casinos are having a harder time making a profit than in the past. This may be a prime time for Las Vegas gamblers to start using their Las Vegas vouchers, taking advantage of rebates, and using their frequent flyer miles. With the Las Vegas, Nevada hotel casinos having a run of bad luck, this could be the most convenient occasion for you to hit the Vegas casinos.
